Black Winged Crow

black winged crow

you smoke me home

it burns i froze

i stare at you—virtue undisclosed

we drank the paint, taste of sweetened bone

vice must let go

so i burn in amber, left to recompose

tear out my gut, lay out the tubes

oh queen of hearts: show my suit

dip me in paint, a plastered muse

why i sink without her—won’t ever know

call to the nymphs

forgive my theft, forgive my lies

from my back are black wings

scars are absurd

i fly unshielded

phantasm, divider of sin

mutter on, oh mutter on.
